Every plan includes
(DHT blocker + vasodilator solution)
This topical solution combines finasteride (DHT blocker) and minoxidil (growth stimulant) in a formulation applied directly to the scalp. Topical finasteride reaches follicles with minimal absorption into the blood, while minoxidil dilates scalp vessels locally. Together they halt hair loss and regrow hair.
Two-in-one
combination applied locally; combined effect studied
Topical combination is prescribed off-label. Application to dry scalp is essential to minimize irritation and ensure absorption.

Week 1
Apply to clean, dry scalp using the provided applicator. Many people start with once daily. Your physician monitors for irritation.
Week 2–4
Scalp may shed slightly as the hair cycle resets. Do not be alarmed; this is normal and temporary.

Month 1–3
Hair loss slows noticeably. New hairs begin to grow. Irritation typically subsides.

Month 3–6+
Results become visible. Your physician may increase frequency or add systemic agents if needed. Maintenance is ongoing.
Minimal systemic effects
topical delivery keeps side effects local
Hair regrowth
new hairs visible by month 2-3
Scalp irritation possible
usually mild; subsides with continued use
Consistent application
daily use essential for results
Individual results vary. Benefits reflect what Zepym Health members commonly report to their physician at check-ins; they are not the results of a clinical trial.
Important safety information and common side effects
Topical finasteride, dutasteride, minoxidil, tretinoin and related ingredients are applied to the scalp and minimally absorbed systemically. Local side effects include irritation, itching, contact dermatitis, and occasional hair shedding at initiation (normal hair-cycle reset). Tretinoin increases sun sensitivity, so daily sunscreen is recommended. Do not apply to broken skin or use if pregnant or breastfeeding. Wash hands after application unless treating hands. Tell your physician about any allergies to propylene glycol or other solution components, or history of sensitive scalp. Stop and seek care for severe redness, blistering, or signs of allergic reaction.
Each product combines drugs applied to the scalp: finasteride, dutasteride, minoxidil, latanoprost or tretinoin. Trials exist for most of these drugs on their own, mostly small. We did not find a trial of any of these exact combinations.
Phase III trial of a topical finasteride spray in 458 men over 24 weeks. Hair count in the 1 cm² target area rose 20.2 hairs with the spray and 6.7 with placebo (P<0.001), numerically similar to oral finasteride at 21.1 hairs. This is a spray, not the foam or solution sold here.
Piraccini et al., J Eur Acad Dermatol Venereol 2022;36(2):286-94Randomized trial in men with androgenetic alopecia. At 48 weeks the 5% minoxidil solution was significantly superior to 2% solution and to placebo for change in nonvellus hair count, and the response came earlier. It caused more pruritus and local irritation.
Olsen et al., J Am Acad Dermatol 2002Pilot trial of latanoprost 0.1% on one scalp site against placebo on another site in the same men, for 24 weeks. Hair density rose versus baseline and versus the placebo site (P<0.001 and P=0.0004). Sixteen men with mild loss is too few to size the effect.
Blume-Peytavi et al., J Am Acad Dermatol 2012;66(5):794-800What the studies found
Trial results are for each drug on its own, at the strength studied, and are averages across people. The combinations here are not the products tested; no trial of the combined foam or solution was found. Compounded versions were not studied.
What this does not say
A 2024 study found topical finasteride and minoxidil together outperformed either alone for androgenetic alopecia. Topical finasteride blood levels are far lower than the oral tablet.
Scalp irritation, itching, or occasional contact dermatitis can occur. Your physician recommends scalp care (non-irritating shampoo) and monitoring for sensitivity.

Applied to the scalp, once a day, at bedtime. The starting prescription is 1 mL each time. Your physician sets your own dose and it is printed on your label.
Thinning areas of the scalp.
Finasteride 0.25%, Minoxidil 12%.
1 bottle at the starting strength, shipped to your door from a licensed US pharmacy.
Apply to a clean, dry scalp using the dropper or spray provided. Focus on areas of thinning. Use once or twice daily as directed. Do not wash scalp for 2-3 hours after application. Some people use it at night to avoid getting it on clothes.
Water and moisture dilute the solution, reducing its effectiveness and increasing irritation. Dry scalp ensures full-strength contact and optimal absorption.
Limit concurrent products. Regular shampoo is fine, but avoid other medicated scalp treatments, oils, or leave-in conditioners without your physician's approval, as they may interact.
Hair loss typically slows within 4-8 weeks. New growth becomes visible around month 2-3. Peak results occur at 6-12 months. Patience is essential.
