Glutathione (GSH): your body's master antioxidant, produced in every cell to neutralize oxidative stress. Oral liposomal form enhances absorption. Supports immune function, energy, and detoxification.

Every plan includes
(gamma-glutamyl-cysteinyl-glycine, GSH)
Glutathione is a tripeptide (three amino acids bonded together) made by every cell in your body. It neutralizes free radicals and toxic compounds via the glutathione-S-transferase enzyme system. Glutathione levels decline with age, stress, and chronic illness. Oral GSH has poor bioavailability because it is broken down in the stomach; liposomal or acetyl-glutathione forms improve absorption. Some people report improved energy, immune function, and skin clarity with supplementation.
Master
antioxidant made by every cell
Oral glutathione absorption is limited. Liposomal formulations, N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC, a precursor), or intravenous GSH achieve higher bioavailability. Discuss form and dose with your physician.

Day 1
Your physician reviews your energy, cognition, mood, medications, and health history. Discusses how glutathione or methylene blue support mitochondrial and antioxidant systems.
Week 1
Start with your prescribed dose of glutathione or methylene blue capsules. Take with food to improve tolerance. Expect blue urine if taking methylene blue.

Weeks 2-4
Some people notice improved energy, mood, or mental clarity. Others see no immediate change. Cellular repairs take time; be patient.

Month 2
Your physician checks in on energy, mood, cognition, and any side effects. Discuss timing, dose, or whether to continue or adjust.

Beyond
Cellular support compounds work best on a consistent schedule. Your physician reassesses every 3-6 months based on your response and evolving research.
Improved energy
especially with repeated dosing over weeks
Clearer thinking
mental fog may lift gradually
Mood support
emerging evidence in depression and anxiety
Cellular protection
antioxidant and mitochondrial support

Important safety information and common side effects
Glutathione and methylene blue are generally well tolerated at recommended doses. Glutathione: no established upper limit; side effects are rare. Methylene blue: at therapeutic doses (5-20 mg daily) is safe, but do not combine with SSRIs, MAOIs, or tricyclic antidepressants due to serotonin syndrome risk. Tell your physician about all medications, especially psychiatric drugs. Methylene blue may reduce the efficacy of some antibiotic or chemotherapy drugs; discuss with your physician if on cancer treatment. Methylene blue can reduce oxygen saturation slightly; avoid in people with severe anemia or respiratory disease. Stop and seek care for signs of serotonin syndrome (rapid heart rate, confusion, muscle rigidity, hyperthermia) if using methylene blue with psychiatric medications.
The body's main intracellular antioxidant, and it can be taken by mouth or injected. Oral trials in small groups of healthy adults show that blood levels can rise, but no trial has shown a health benefit. Injected glutathione has been tested only in a few small Parkinson's and skin-lightening studies.
250 or 1,000 mg a day against placebo for six months in 54 non-smoking adults. Blood glutathione rose at both doses. The trial measured blood levels, not disease or symptoms.
Richie et al., Eur J Nutr 2015500 mg twice a day against placebo for four weeks in healthy adults. Urinary markers of oxidative stress and red-cell glutathione did not change between the groups.
Allen and Bradley, J Altern Complement Med 2011A randomized, double-blind pilot in Parkinson's disease found no significant difference from placebo in motor and daily-living scores. Its dose and size appear only in its abstract, so they are not repeated here. We found no injected trial with a health outcome in healthy adults.
Hauser et al., Mov Disord 2009What the studies found
The trials here measured blood levels or markers of oxidative stress, not health outcomes, so none shows a benefit. No trial cited here tests the product sold here. GlyNAC, a glycine and N-acetylcysteine combination, is a different intervention with its own trials and is not counted here.
What this does not say
Glutathione is the primary intracellular antioxidant. Low levels correlate with aging, neurodegenerative disease, and immune dysfunction. Boosting GSH is a plausible strategy for cellular repair.
Oral GSH bioavailability is poor; most clinical evidence comes from IV or liposomal forms or from NAC precursor studies. Oral liposomal GSH shows some evidence for immune and detox support.

Taken by mouth, once a day. The starting prescription is 1 capsule (100 mg) each time. Your physician sets your own dose and it is printed on your label.
30 capsules at the starting strength, shipped to your door from a licensed US pharmacy.
NAC is a precursor; your body converts it to glutathione. NAC has strong clinical evidence for immune and respiratory support. GSH and NAC complement each other. Your physician chooses based on your health goals and tolerance.
Energy and mood changes can take 2-4 weeks with consistent dosing. Cognitive benefits may take months to notice. Some people respond quickly; others need sustained use. Keep a symptom log.
These are separate compounds with different mechanisms. Some physicians use both; others prefer one. Discuss your health goals and medication history with your physician to decide the best approach.
Methylene blue has significant interactions with psychiatric medications (SSRIs, MAOIs, tricyclics) due to serotonin syndrome risk. Tell your physician about every medication you take.
Glutathione and methylene blue show promise in early-stage and animal studies. Human clinical trials are limited. Your physician uses these based on mechanistic reasoning and emerging evidence, not established clinical practice.
